Healthcare IT equipment buyback

Healthcare IT Asset Disposition and Buyback

Hospitals, clinics, labs, and practices retire workstations, laptops, servers, and mobile devices that may have held patient information. That equipment needs to leave your building with a clear record of what happened to the data. RePower provides secure pickup, certified data erasure, and buyback for healthcare organizations anywhere in the U.S.

Data destruction that supports HIPAA compliance

There is no official "HIPAA certification" for disposal vendors, but your organization still has to show that protected health information was handled properly. Our NIST 800-88 certified data erasure and documentation help support your HIPAA compliance requirements. We sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs). Every job comes with a serialized certificate of erasure, and an R2 certificate of destruction is provided when devices are destroyed. Drives that fail erasure are physically shredded.

A record of every device

We log the serial number of every device we receive. Your compliance, IT, and security teams get a device-by-device record to reconcile against your asset inventory, so nothing goes unaccounted for.

Secured transport

Equipment leaves your facility in sealed containers on GPS-tracked trucks driven by background-checked drivers. Every serial number is logged when we receive it, and our client portal shows the status of your equipment.

All equipment, including the old stuff

Healthcare equipment often stays in service for years. We accept any IT equipment of any age or condition: medical carts and workstations on wheels, thin clients, laptops, servers, networking gear, monitors, phones, and tablets. We pay only for items with resale value, and we still handle data erasure or destruction on everything else. See What We Accept.

Recover value and lower device costs

With 20+ years of repair experience, we can repair all device types and harvest parts, which helps us pay top dollar and keep equipment out of landfills. Refurbished devices can lower costs too: we deployed refurbished devices for a pharmaceutical company's sales team and cut their costs. Read about it on our Case Studies page, or see our repair services.
