Cisco Catalyst 3650 End of Support: Retire Your Switches Securely

Running Catalyst 3650s?

As of October 31, 2026, Cisco's Last Date of Support for the Catalyst 3650 has passed. There are no more security fixes or support services, and Cisco now treats the product as obsolete. Cisco points customers to the Catalyst 9300 series.

Still running, still holding old configs

The 3650 was one of the most common access switches in schools, government offices, and businesses. Plenty are still running, still holding old configs and credentials, with no security patches coming.

Retire them securely

When you swap them out, retire them securely:

  • NIST 800-88 certified data erasure
  • A serialized certificate of erasure with every job
  • R2 certificate of destruction provided
  • Pickup anywhere in the US

It's not just switches

RePower accepts any IT equipment, regardless of age or condition. We pay for items with resale value, and everything else is handled responsibly. We can also repair and redeploy working units or harvest parts from ones that aren't, so more gear stays in use and out of landfills.
